Hello friends! It’s been a tumultuous week as I’ve worked to deconstruct some of my writing infrastructure while I change things up. Mostly it’s been about making sure I don’t allow new subscriptions to things where I’m no longer posting and taking down links that go to the wrong places.
But I have also spent a small amount of time looking at the few homes I’ve built along the way that have the name Ben on them.
The first one is that I have a Medium profile with a few pieces of non-erotic fiction. It’s not especially full, but I like the stories I’ve shared there and if I find that I’m feeling the need to write short things in the coming weeks, that’s where I’ll put them.
https://medium.com/@bengoodwin is the link. I just posted a new little essay about the creative and destructive forces at play when I sit down to write.
Other than that, I have a more basic author site up with links to the three novels I’ve published under my name, The Island on the Edge of Normal, The Beertown Twins, and Portraits of Alice.
It’s a cute little site which also showcases some of my design and branding work from my pre-Guy life.
If this is a third act, then let’s hope it’s at least a five act play.
You can find that one here: www.btgoodwin.com
Otherwise, things are slowing down as I log off tumblr, sign out of Patreon, and generally give myself room to discover what comes next.
It’s a bright sunny Monday in Brooklyn and the clover is coming up in the backyard thanks to the copious rain over the weekend. I’m going to close the laptop, pick up my camera, and take a long walk to see if I can find a new feeling of curiosity that might lead me down a road I’ve not taken before.
Best,
Ben
